Following the inauguration of the FCBEscola in Charlotte, North Carolina last week, the project has further expanded by opening a new school in Moscow, Russia.

The FCBEscola Moscow was officially inaugurated on Saturday in the presence of Jordi Gratacós, director of the local project, and Iñaki Andréu, project manager of the FCBEscola for Europe and Asia.

The new school in Moscow has the capacity for 200 children between the ages of four and 12 years of age, who are divided into different programmes based on age and skill level. Training will start this week and in the next few days more tryouts are scheduled in order to reach more youngsters who want to play the game.

With the opening of the school in Moscow, FC Barcelona now has 21 schools around the world. The Club will also open three more in the coming weeks — in Ottawa, Canada; Mumbai, India; and Lagos, Nigeria.
