During the VII International FCBEscola Tournament, the young players showed their support for Anthony Borges, the 15-year-old ex-FCBEscola Florida player, who was one of the heroes of the Parkland shooting. Borges was show five times in his back and limbs as he helped 20 classmates take cover in a classroom while he held the door shut. His brave actions saved these students from the indiscriminate and horrific attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Florida.

Borges, with Venezuelan roots, is a Barça fan and he trained with the Barça Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2016. That is one of the schools the Club has in the United States. For this reason, the FCBEscoles around the world wanted to show their support for Anthony Borges so that he can make as speedy a recovery as possible.

Also, Anthony will receive a very special shirt signed by the first team players in the next few days to honour his bravery. In the future, he plans to travel to Barcelona to visit the Camp Nou and meet the blaugrana players.
